Moving towards E-MOBILITY

More than ever, greenhouse gases are the main cause of climate change. Petroleum energy dependence and air pollution are generating so much concern and there is a sense of responsibility.

The transportation sector is one of the major contributors to CO2 emissions. It accounts for approximately 25% of global CO2 emissions, and looking at the contribution of different modes of transportation, on-road vehicles accounted for roughly 77% of global transportation CO2 emissions in 2020.

There is a continuous effort to limit pollution and the climate impact of existing technologies, but this is not enough. Technology advances in Mobility have to contribute undoubtedly to reduce these problems and help transportation to become CO2 neutral in the future.

Despite the short-term impact of COVID-19, during 2020 there was a slight increase in global electric cars sales, reaching total sales of 3.1 Million and a market share of 4.4%. Electric vehicle sales are expected to reach 31.1 million by 2030 and 32% of the total market share for new car sales.
